New research is focusing on bone and cardiovascular health benefits from the synergistic relationship between vitamin K2 and vitamin D3. Vitamin K is a group of structurally similar, naturally occurring fat-soluble vitamins essential to proper calcium utilization. Vitamin K activates the protein osteocalcin to help bind recently absorbed calcium to the bone's mineral matrix. Vitamin K has been found to help maintain bone mineral density by decreasing the activity of cells that break down the bone matrix. While vitamin D and vitamin K share similar qualities, they also act synergistically to support healthy blood circulation, boost immune function, and promote bone health and proper storage of calcium. While most people consume adequate dietary vitamin K
